“Ripe, dark-fruited character with notes of cloves, vanilla, cedar and hint of pine needles. Full-bodied, creamy and luscious, with fine tannins and a deep core of fruit in the middle. Succulent finish. Drink or hold.” James Suckling 91 Points
Sourced from two vineyards in California’s North Coast, grapes (40% from Mendocino County and 60% for Lake County) were harvested in the cool early morning hours and were carefully sorted before undergoing a gentle destemming process. The fruit then underwent a cold soak to extract maximum color and flavor. Fermentation took place in small stainless steel tanks. Following fermentation, the wine was aged for 10 months, in a selection of 80% American and 20% French oak.
