46% ABV, nonchilfiltered
Linkwood distillery, situated in the outskirts of the small Moray town of Elgin, was established back in 1821. Light and delicate, this 10 year old whisky from this Speyside distillery is a beautifully balanced dram. Beginning with grapes and green apples on the nose, this is then followed by malt biscuits and oat cookies on the palate. The finish is sweet with hints of citrus such as lemon drizzle and orange zest.
Originally based in Aberdeen before being bought by the Campbeltown based Mitchell family in 1969, Wm Cadenhead’s is the oldest independent bottler in Scotland. Now their flagship Campbeltown premises – located next to the Springbank distillery – also features their own shop offering a variety of bottled spirits from different distilleries.
With their own warehouse stocked full of exciting whiskies, rums, cognacs and more; Cadenhead’s can always be relied upon to bottle high quality spirits free from artificial colouring and chill filtration.
