46% ABV, 700 ml
“Like the iconic Harris Tweed cloth, our single malt whisky is defined by its island provenance, with every drop made with craft and care by local people here in the heart of the Outer Hebrides.”
It is delicious at first sip, however it really rewards you when the whisky
has a chance to breathe and unfold in the glass.
Keep coming back and you’ll discover new flavours and aromas. It’s not a
malt with an obvious descriptor, it defies that kind of simplicity.
The dram is lightly-peated (12-15ppm) and slowly reveals itself in the glass
over time.
We patiently distill, mature, blend, marry, and bottle entirely on the island.
The Hearach is a mix of 64% Buffalo Trace and 21% Heaven Hill American
oak first-fill bourbon barrels, 11% European oak ex-Oloroso and 4%
European oak ex-Fino butts.
All spirits will be a minimum of 4 years old.
After maturation, the recipe will be married for a further 12 weeks in used
sherry butts to bring additional harmony to the spirit.”
