Marking the beginning of winter and the Celtic new year, Samhain coincides with the first release from Dingle Distillery’s new Wheel of The Year series. The Dingle Samhain Single Malt Whiskey has matured in first fill bourbon casks before a long finish (2 years) in first fill Muscatel casks and bottled at 50.5% ABV. With 10,000 bottles set to be released, Irish whiskey lovers will be in for a treat with a highly coveted limited amount due to be available within the Irish market.“
The Dingle Distillery was conceived by three independent spirits; Oliver Hughes, Liam LaHart, and Peter Mosley in the town of Dingle, Co. Kerry, in the west of Ireland. It came into being in the winter of 2012. The town of Dingle is unique in that it resides at the far western edge of Europe. As a result, the distillery benefits from the gentle breezes generated from the Gulf Stream and a moist maritime microclimate. Three distinctive copper pot stills created by whisky legend John McDougal are used to achieve Dingle Single Malt’s unique flavor profile.
