“A new estate for me, Domaine du Somail covers 15 hectares in the heart of Minervois and is a collaboration between four friends. The estate has been farmed biodynamically since 2013. . . Checking in as 80% Mourvèdre and 20% Syrah, aged all in concrete, it offers lots of black raspberry and plum fruits, violets, and spring flowers in a lifted, fresh, beautifully pure style. It should drink reasonably well on release, yet have decade or more of longevity.” ROBERT PARKER
