This is a fairly rare wine since Drouhin only owns 0.2 hectares, producing a delicate, perfumed wine graced with weightless, translucent fruit. Dark red berries, plums, spices and cedar linger on the effortless, long finish. Drouhin used 10-15% whole clusters here.
The vines are 30 to 45 years old on average. The vines are on the Volnay village side of the vineyard as opposed to the Monthelie side.
