45.1% ABV, 700 ml
The Kyoto Distillery, the city’s first dedicated gin maker, has fast become recognised for its fastidious attention to detail. Its second release, Ki No Tea, has been meticulously created to the same exacting standards. The limited edition expression is the result of a partnership with noted tea grower and blender Hori-Shichimeien, which was founded just to the south of Kyoto in 1879. A carefully selected blend of teas, including Tencha and Gyokuro, have been added to the botanical recipe (Hinoki cypress, yuzu and juniper, among others) which imparts an intense aroma and depth of flavour. Chic, elegant and dignified.
KI NO BI (‘The Beauty of the Seasons’) is inspired by tradition and is distilled, blended and bottled in Kyoto. This gin is made in a recognisable dry style but with a distinct Japanese accent.
Bottled at 45.1% ABV, KI NO TEA uses a rice spirit base and peerless water sourced in the famous sake–brewing district, Fushimi.
