The strength of the Beaune appellation is grounded in its 337 hectares of premier cru vineyards, which offer great stylistic diversity. Founded in Beaune in 1859, Maison Louis Jadot has always focused on the terroirs of these premier crus, emphasizing their huge potential. When presented with a truly great vintage Jadot takes the opportunity to create a Celebration of the Beaune premier crus. This is drawn from selected lots across Jadot’s holdings in 17 Beaune premier crus, including Clos des Ursules, Boucherottes, Aux Cras, Clos des Couchereaux, Bressandes, Theurons, Grèves, Avaux, Chouacheux, Cent Vignes, Toussaints, Vignes Franches, Pertuisots, Aigrots, Clos du Roi, and Reversées. These terroirs are featured on the unique front label.
“There are some 3,500 cases of the 2020 Beaune 1er Cru Célébration (Maison Louis Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and seamless wine evocative of smoky berries, spices and licorice, framed by creamy new oak. More polished and elegant than the muscular 2018, the last rendition of this bottling (which blends more than a dozen of Beaune’s premiers crus), it will offer a broad drinking window. 92 Points Robert Parker
